Learn how to use The Scar Wand® at home to improve your scar and manage pain and discomfort.
How often do you use The Scar Wand®?
To start with, aim to use The Scar Wand® daily. If there are areas of tenderness or it becomes sore, spread the work out to every other day and then build it back to benign daily. Continue to use The Scar Wand® daily for 4-6 weeks, then gradually spread the days out to every other day, then continue to use The Scar Wand® once a week, every week. If you stop using The Scar Wand®, you may feel the scar get tight again so you can restart or continue to use it as the scar tissue gets tight again. We highly recommend using our Scar Cream with The Scar Wand® in addition to using the cream once more a day. This will aid the improvement of the scar motility.

What will you experience?
Everyone’s scar is unique. You may feel tightness, raised areas, grainy areas, and can be uncomfortable. These feelings are normal.
The reason you are feeling any of the above is due to the scar tissue being highly sensitive. Do not stop working over the scar, just make sure you ease up the pressure over these areas and keep the movements small over these areas.
What does The Scar Wand® not help with?
The Scar Wand® has been shown to be effective on incision scars, trauma scars, skin grafts and burn survivor users have reported improvements (although the technique is slightly different so please do contact us before or after purchasing).
Currently, it is not suitable for stretch marks, acne, eczema, chicken pox, keloid scars, self harm scars. We advise not to use The Scar Wand® over a scar that has mesh directly underneath- eg from a hernia operation. We are constantly looking at case studies and research so please do contact us if you have any questions. If you suffer from any skin conditions including psoriasis please do contact us before purchasing.
How about exposure to sunlight?
You should always apply sunscreen to your scar as it may be particularly sensitive to the sun. Make sure there is adequate spf over the scar. If you have plates and pins inserted it is recommended not to lie in the sun.
Can you get rid of my scar?
In short, No. We can not remove your scar. The aim of The Scar Wand® is to make your scar more mobile, flatten your scar, cause less redness, itching, pulling or tugging in the area of your scar.
Can you use it in either hand?
Yes. If you are right handed the logo will be pointing up. If you are Left handed the logo will not be showing.
Is there an age limit to use The Scar Wand®?
Nope. But there are a few things to be aware of. If you elderly and/or have very delicate skin you need to really start with minimal pressure (just the Wand resting on the scar and running the Wand along the length of it).

Aqua- Water
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride- Helps smooth skin and works as an antioxidant
Vitis Vinifera (Grape) seed oil – Rich in Vitamin E and essential fatty acid
PEG-100 Stearate- Soft and moisturized feel to the skin
Glyceryl stearate- skin conditioning agent
Retinyl palmitate- Boosts collagen production
Helianthus Annuus Seed oil- Beneficial for dry, dehydrate or environmentally compromised skin = smoother, healthier looking skin.
Sodium Bicarbonate- helps remove dead skin cells or soothes inflammation
Tocopherol acetate- vitamin E – treats and prevents vitamin deficiencies
Calendula officinalis (calendula) flower oil- anti fungal, anti inflammatory, antibacterial
Simmondsia Chinensis (jojoba) seed oil- enhance skins restorative properties and skin soothing benefits
Rosa Rubiginosa seed oil- protects and hydrates skin, fight free radical damage and reduce wrinkles
Hydrolysed yeast protein- against oxidative stress and improve skin conditions
I'm on anti-coagulants (Warfarin), can I use The Scar Wand®?
Yes you can still use The Scar Wand. You will just need to really aware of when the redness appears. It will take less time than someone not on medication.
How do you clean The Scar Wand®?
Please clean The Scar Wand® after EVERY use. You can use any antibacterial product to clean The Scar Wand®. Use a wipe/cloth to wipe the product off and then ensure The Scar Wand® is then dried before putting it back in the bag.
Do you accept returns?
We believe you will be happy with your purchase. However, if you are not happy with it please drop us an email to info@thescarwand.com with RETURN in the subject line. We can only process returns 10 days after the date of purchase. You will need to provide proof of purchase and you will need to pay postage for returning the product. You will be refunded in full to your original form of payment.
Is The Scar Wand® available outside the UK?
No. Unfortunately, The Scar Wand® is currently only available to purchase in the UK and NI.
Please contact us if you wish to ship outside of the UK, additional postage will be added.
Can I change, update or cancel my order once it's been placed?

How long does it take to receive my parcel?
Please allow 7 working days to receive your parcel. If you have not received your parcel at the end of the 7th working day please do email us at info@thescarwand.com.
I have radiotherapy fibrosis will this help?
Currently, we have no research or case studies on radiotherapy fibrosis. We are in contact with an NHS partnership who is looking into it. If you are interested in becoming a case study, please feel free to drop us a line at info@thescarwand.com and we will get back to you asap.
Do you have an affiliate programme?
