How to use The Scar Wand

1. Using our cream, cover the length of the scar well, hold the wand with one hand with the triangle end point in contact with the scar.
2.Add slight tension to your scar.
3. Maintaining a constant contact, the direction ofmovement is up and down, then along and then a circular motion as if you were rubbing an error out of pencil.
4. It is important to gradually build up the length of time and pressure you work on your scar as this will depend on its size and age. Working on your scar may feel strange, this is normal as the tissues need to bede-sensitised (used to being touched). As you find areas of tenderness,pulling, burning and/or tethering, reduce the pressure at these points and makethe moves shorter over the scar.
5. A surgical scar will have a deeper scar usually 1-2cm above or below the superficial scar (the one you can see) include this in thetreatment.
6. Work on the scar until there is a change in texture or colour- on average it can take between 3-10 minutes.
